RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Skills Recognition was established for people to receive the qualifications they deserved based on their knowledge, skills and experience.

If you’re currently working in the building and construction industry and are thinking about obtaining a qualification- trust the process with a registered training organisation that specialises in building and construction.

CWBTS currently celebrates:

  • Over 700 Active Students studying in qualifications that include Carpentry, Concreting and Civil Operations
  • Over 5000 graduates with above industry average completion rates
  • 85% Student Satisfaction rates
  • 2021 Finalist NSW Small Training Provider of the Year
  • 2022  Finalist NSW Small Training Provider of the Year

Based on the principle of “builders training builders”, CWBTS draws on its deep connections to Simonds Homes, one of Australia’s largest domestic home builders.  With this close industry link, Simonds rich history and experience is reflected into the courses CWBTS delivers, ensuring graduates are ready for today’s competitive workforce.

Quite simply, we live and breathe building and construction. CWBTS do not deal with hundreds of qualifications across different industries. We specialise in building and construction.

There is no need to learn what you already know. CWBTS consider the skills and knowledge you have gained over the years through work and life experiences. Experience can be gained through formal and informal learning, in Australia or overseas, through work and through other activities.

We see the RPL process as a fact-finding process where we work with you to substantiate what you have already gained in the way of skills and knowledge and, from this, determine what you still need to know. Subject to sufficient evidence being provided, you may qualify for credits towards a qualification. This will reduce the time it takes to get a qualification.

Gain essential knowledge and skills to be able to work across residential construction jobs as a qualified carpenter. You will be equipped to undertake projects in new residential housing construction, maintenance and repair and renovations.
