HOW DO YOU STUDY BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION ONLINE?

At CWBTS, we understand that not all of our students are able to access the necessary learning resources, whether that be because of location or lifestyle. This is why we offer many of our building and construction courses online.

As technology has evolved, we’ve been sure to make the most it, always coming up with new and innovative ways to deliver our online building and construction courses. So if you’re Interested in a career in building and construction and looking to taking the leap into online learning, here’s what you need to know.

Is studying building and construction online right for me?

Before getting into the nitty gritty of how to study building and construction online, it’s important to ask yourself this question. While we have made the process of online learning as easy and engaging as possible, we know that online learning isn’t for everybody.

To help you decide whether or not online learning is for you, let’s look at the benefits. When studying building and construction online, the main benefit is the ability to learn from anywhere – at home, at the library, even a quiet café. The reality of this allows anyone who lives rurally can easily access what they need to complete the course.

We understand that you might already be a tradie by day, or that you might already have working or family commitments. With so much to do already, it can be difficult to fit study into the mix. With online learning, you’ll have access anytime you need it, helping you to catch up on things you missed and revisit concepts you might not have understood originally.

Online learning also often works out to be a cheaper learning alternative, as many of the traditional costs of using a classroom space and equipment don’t apply, and you save on travel costs.

Ultimately, choosing to study building and construction online is a personal decision, often influenced by where you live, your professional life, and family commitments. But if you’re having trouble deciding, simply start by thinking about the benefits.

What are my options?

The building and construction industry is a big one, full of a variety of different career paths. Learning in a virtual classroom

When you’re studying building and construction, there is often a high level of engagement necessary. For some, online learning is difficult to engage in. Virtual classrooms are the key to keeping engagement high and allowing for easy communication between a class and a trainer.

These virtual classrooms allow you to interact with trainers and other students in real time, just as you would do in a regular classroom environment. The classes will run at a scheduled time, and students can attend from wherever they are using their computer.

Virtual classes are a great alternative to self-paced learning, giving you the tools you need to stay motivated and get the most out of your training.
