This qualification reflects the role of a skilled operator working on major projects including highways and sub-divisions, road networks, highway infrastructure and includes the relevant machinery.
You are over 16 years of age (if you’re under 18, your parent or guardian must sign the enrolment form on your behalf).
You are already working within Civil Construction and want to gain additional skills and knowledge or you would like to enter the civil construction industry.
Your language, literacy and numeracy will be evaluated to identify any support requirements.
This course is 3-year full time apprenticeship.

This program is hands on and will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to undertake a range of manual tasks and operate machinery on construction sites. After successfully completing this course you will have a solid foundation of the skills and knowledge needed to work in the civil construction industry.
This course is delivered with both theory and practical elements, with a mixture of classroom, group discussions, and individual research.
Assessments are completed to measure your skills and knowledge against the training qualification requirements and those of the industry. The assessment process will include written and practical presentations, observation and classroom participation and will require some time away from the training rooms completing assignments.
