Career Pathways

This certificate will allow you to further your career in many facets of the building and construction industry. With additional experience, you could progress into supervisory roles such as site manager, construction project supervisor, coordinator, or planner.

Entry Requirements

We run two separate streams for this course, one for people with 3+ years of industry experience. We also run classes for those with less than 3 years experience.


Our Certificate IV courses are held 2 nights per week part time and run for between 33-40 weeks depending on your level of experience in the industry. You will need to allow for approximately 8 hours study time per week outside of your class study in order to complete your course work. We know that location is important so we have classes that are close to home and work, give us a call and ask us about the closest course to you.


Virtual classroom (online delivery), or physical classroom depending on your location and requirements.

Assessment Methods

The course is delivered with both theory and practical elements, with a mixture of classroom, group discussions, and individual research (including online study) supported by workplace mentoring by your workplace supervisor (if applicable).

CWBTS Mentoring Program – Domestic Builder Registration

Do you require assistance and guidance preparing for the Application for Registration with the QBCC or the NSW Department of Fair Trading?  It can be a very complicated and thorough process, requiring substantial attention to detail.  The license applications require applicants to have the skills, knowledge and experience to apply for registration as a building practitioner.  This involves filling in a lot of documents that require a lot of attention to detail.
